Downtown Tokyo Asakusa
It is situated in the suburbs of Tokyo and features very traditional Japanese-style temples and shopping streets. Asakusa is similar to towns in other East Asian countries. You feel very comfortable in the atmosphere.
In the early morning, the sightseeing tour starts from Kaminarimon, which is located on the southeast side of Asakusa. Walking along Nakamise Street and observing various kinds of goods sold in the shops, we proceed to Sensoji Temple. This temple is the center of Asakusa and its symbol.
Then we have lunch at a yatai, which is a very Japanese-style food stall with several seats. After lunch, we take a walk along a shopping arcade that is about 500 meters long. There are various kinds of shops, pachinko parlors, restaurants, souvenir shops, local theaters, movie theaters, and more.
After that, we visit Tokyo Skytree, the tallest tower in Asia, which is located about 15 minutes on foot from Asakusa. We go up to the top floor, which has a rotating observation platform. From there, we can enjoy a spectacular view.
